The symposium will be held in The Blanes Centre for Advanced Studies (CEAB).
The Blanes Centre for Advanced Studies (CEAB) is a research institute belonging to the Higher Council of Scientific Investigations (CSIC), an institution depending upon the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.

Hotel Don Juan is a famous one in Lloret and has been recommended.
In any case, it is recommended to stay within the boundaries of the center, so it will be easier to move around.

There is the option of the more costly ones or even the apartments if you want. There are a lot of options and the prices as it is low season are fairly good everywhere.
From LLoret de Mar:
Shuttle Bus: A Bus will be available for transportation between Lloret de Mar and the symposium venue (CEAB).
The schedule as follow:
- Morning (8.30) from Lloret Disco Tropics to the CEAB-CSIC (so if you had a very long party night, you can still make it to the bus)
- Afternoon (19.00) from CEAB-CSIC to Lloret Disco Tropics
- Morning (8.30) from Lloret Disco Tropics to the CEAB-CSIC
- Afternoon (18.00) from CEAB-CSIC to Lloret Disco Tropics
From Lloret bus station or Fenals, stop in the Hospital Comarcal de la Selva and walk uphill (10 min walk), until you get to CEAB building.

The bus price (actually 1.85€ if you stop at the hospital, 1.85€ per run if to somewhere else). If you are going to the hospital, tell the driver and keep the ticket for the way back.
Taxi: Lloret CEAB is about 10€ and takes up to 4 people.
From the center (any area more less) is a 20 min walk with a steep hill. There is an option of car-pooling for people who have problems with walking. Please let us know.

Transport from Barcelona and Girona towards the Costa Brava (Blanes, Lloret) is not abundant and it finishes at night at about 22:30h. If you are traveling after or before these times please let us know so we can give you an alternative.
The link of the buses below to inform you about the timetables. You can book online your ticket if you want. However, if you are not 100% you will arrive on time to catch the bus please consider to just buy it on the bus.
- Bus stops in T1 BCN you have to go straight from the arrivals and go down to where the aerobus stop is, then pass to the other sidewalk and search for “interurbanos”, that’s where the buses to Blanes and Lloret stop.
- Bus stops in T2 BCN as you go outside, in the area C, turn right and the buses stop in the shaded area. You must ask where it stops as it depends on the traffic.

Girona airport: as you get out of the terminal turn right and go towards the parking lot. Make sure not to get on the first bus is there as it may take you Barcelona with no stops. Make sure to ask the driver if he stops where you want to go (Lloret or Blanes)

Of course there is the trains as well mainly from Barcelona and not very frequent from Girona:
R1: towards Maçanet-Massanes or Blanes from Barcelona, towards Barcelona-Hospitalet de Llobregat if from Girona
There is no train to Lloret, but a bus (line 1) from the Blanes train station goes to LLoret
